Easy Health & Living magazine is published by Zahra Publishing, and is Ireland's highest circulating magazine in its category. It describes itself as Ireland's health magazine, and is all about self-health & providing everyday solutions to better health and well-being for the whole family.

Web Design Brief

The publishers of Easy Health & Living were keen to bring the magazine to life online and present articles and content in an easily accessible way.

Our brief was to create a website that would display all the articles to their best advantage, while maintaining the 'magazine' look & feel that the readers were used to. The site had to provide the facility for visitors to sign-up for membership, search through articles (by keyword, date, topic, etc.), participate in forums & polls, and subscribe to the magazine.

The client also required the facility to log into the website and create, edit, and remove content and generally control the behaviour of the website through the use of a Content Management System (CMS).

Ingredients

This was a design-collaboration between Patrick Casey Design and the in-house magazine designers. It was designed and mocked-up in Adobe Photoshop CS5 and InDesign. The site code was written in PHP, HTML, jQuery and CSS. Analytics were included to track visitor statistics, and a powerful Content Management System (CMS) was added.
